About the role
A global energy technology organisation is seeking for a Service Unit Sales Manager to lead nation-wide service sales growth. The role focuses on driving lifecycle and service revenue through increased installed base penetration, customer relationship management, and cross-functional collaboration within a matrix organisation. The ideal candidate brings strong OEM service sales experience in the power or energy sector and a proven ability to lead teams to exceed targets while delivering high customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and pursue new service sales opportunities by analysing installed base potential and market demand.
* Work closely with account managers to develop service-focused account plans and long-term customer strategies.
* Collaborate with segment and channel managers to identify, qualify, and pursue service sales leads across the country.
* Own service sales budgeting, forecasting, and operational planning in coordination with regional marketing, sales, and finance stakeholders.
* Establish and maintain long-term relationships with key customers and decision-makers by understanding customer requirements, regulatory frameworks, and operational challenges.
* Position and promote the full portfolio of service offerings by working closely with product and business unit teams.
* Develop and implement country-level pricing strategies to maximise profitability, informed by detailed market and competitive analysis.
* Enable service sales growth by building team capability through training, coaching, and continuous development.
* Actively support sales execution by participating in key customer engagements and complex negotiations when required.
* Share insights on installed base data, market trends, customer needs, and competitor solutions to improve sales effectiveness and strategic decision-making.
* Ensure high standards of customer satisfaction by overseeing issue resolution and service delivery performance.
* Drive sales excellence by ensuring the service sales organisation is appropriately structured, resourced, and skilled.
Skills & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, power systems, or a related discipline (or equivalent industry experience).
* Significant, demonstrable experience in
service sales
, including installed base management, within the energy or electrical power industry.
* Strong customer relationship management skills with experience engaging senior stakeholders.
* Proven ability to lead service sales teams in a matrix environment and deliver consistent commercial results.
* Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and pricing capability.
* Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
