About the Role
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats offering a variety of tasks and being at the centre of operations. You will manage the office, reception and own high level administration, support accountants with taxation preparation and reporting, liaise with clients, assist with marketing initiatives, and coordinate all office activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage reception and daily office operations
* Be courteous and welcoming to all clients, staff and visitors to the practice
* Provide executive and administrative support to the Director and Accountants
* Prepare and assist with taxation returns and related compliance duties
* Assist with comprehensive financial and management reporting
* Liaise with clients and respond to queries professionally and promptly
* Manage LinkedIn and Facebook business pages and support marketing initiatives
* Advertise roles on Seek and assist with reviewing CVs and coordinating interviews as required
* Maintain efficient office systems, manuals and office procedures and ensure all are updated in line with changing legislation
* Manage and maintain MYOB AO workflow
About You
You will bring:
* A bubbly character with an easy going nature and able to work well within a small team environment.
* Minimum 2 years' experience in an accounting or legal firm in a similar role
* Strong understanding of taxation and compliance processes will be advantageous
* Experience with MYOB AO (highly regarded)
* Experience with the ATO portal (highly regarded)
* Advanced Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel and Word)
* Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
* Excellent communication and client service skills
* Strong organisational and time management abilities
* A proactive, professional, and solutions-focused approach
* Friendly & open communication style - with a high regard for honesty & confidentiality
