About the role
As a UX Designer, you’ll play an important role in shaping the user experience of our software products. You’ll report to the UX Lead and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and data scientists, to create intuitive and efficient interfaces. Your work will directly assist our end-users in performing complex tasks critical to national and corporate security, defense, and law enforcement.
Responsibilities
* User-Centric Design: Champion user-centered design principles throughout the product development lifecycle.
* Research and Analysis: Participate in user research and competitive analysis to ensure our product is a market leader.
* Wireframing and Prototyping: Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes.
* Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to ensure accurate implementation of design solutions.
* Usability Testing: Participate in usability testing sessions and iterate based on stakeholder feedback.
* Accessibility: Advocate for accessibility best practices and ensure compliance with WCAG guidelines.
* Documentation: Prepare detailed design specifications and guidelines for development teams.
Requirements:
* Australian Citizenship, due to defence clearance work
* Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
* 3+ years experience in UX design, preferably with experience designing for SaaS, B2B products.
* Experience working with design systems.
* Excellent time management with the ability to work independently when needed and to hit timelines.
* Amazing creative problem-solving abilities.
* Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
* Proficient in Figma.
* Basic understanding of HTML and CSS.
* Ability to communicate design concepts effectively to diverse audiences.
* Passion for staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
* High social and emotional intelligence (people skills).
Desirable Skills (not required):
* Familiarity with OSINT concepts and tools.
* Knowledge of front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Bootstrap) would be beneficial.
