About The Role As a Junior Mechatronics/Electrical Design Engineer at Boresight, you will be responsible for the research, design, manufacture, testing, and evaluation of electrical systems within Boresight's current and future UAS products. This is a full-time position based at our engineering office in Fyshwick, Canberra. The role is open to graduate or early-career Mechatronics or Electrical engineers. You MUST be an Australian Citizen to be considered for this role.
Role Responsibilities Generate and maintain schematics, PCB design files. Liaise with PCB manufacturers, assemblers, and suppliers to coordinate production of electronic systems. Prepare technical documentation, including manufacturing drawings, assembly procedures, user and maintenance manuals, test procedures, and reports. Use rapid prototyping tools and methodologies to build and test electrical designs, including soldering techniques and hand tools. Liaise with the engineering team to develop, improve, and validate electrical systems. Contribute to development discussions from concept to productisation of UAVs. Hold or obtain a minimum Baseline security clearance (must be an Australian citizen). Desired Requirements Experience with UAVs in professional, educational, or hobby contexts. Experience with electronics design-for-manufacturing. Proficiency in soldering, electronics hand-tools, and test equipment. Experience with 3D printing and rapid prototyping tools.
