Job Title: Mental Health Clinician
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Clinician to join our team on a locum basis in Moranbah, Queensland.
The successful candidate will work full-time hours, Monday to Friday, and have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people and adults experiencing mental health issues.
* The clinician will provide intake, assessment, treatment, and case management services to young people (and families/supports) with moderate to severe mental health issues through our Child and Youth Service.
* They will also provide triage, assessment, goal, and evidence-based therapeutic intervention and treatment, as well as case management service for adults experiencing mental health issues in the rural setting through our Adult Service.
* In addition, they will be part of our Acute Care Team, providing intake/triage, assessment, and crisis intervention to individuals who experience mental disorder within the MHHS geographical area.
* The clinician will also provide specialist intake, assessment, intervention, and community maintenance/aftercare for people experiencing challenges with Alcohol and Other Drug use through our AODs Service.
Key Requirements:
* Experience in child and youth mental health service
* Mental health assessment and case management experience
* Triage experience
* Preferred experience: AOD case management experience
* Knowledge of CIMHA database
* Knowledge of ATODS-IS database
* Knowledge of ieMR and proficiency in using this system
* Previous experience working in Australia, QLD Health, and/or Mackay HHS
* Knowledge of Mental Health Act 2016
* Experience working with children & adolescents
