Mine Geologist Nova has a new opportunity for a Mine Geologist to join their team.
In this role you would be responsible for the planning and implementation of agreed mine geology related activities and providing support to the mining operation.
Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, key accountabilities include:
Underground face and drive mapping;Tracking of all production material to the Nova Processing Plant;Stope inspections and grade monitoring;Logging diamond drill core;Designing and managing diamond drill programs;Preparation and presentation of regular reports documenting mine production, grade control, mine-mill reconciliation, mine reserve reconciliation;Interpret drilling and mapping results using appropriate tools and software;Assisting Senior and Project Geologists with project work as required.Your Experience Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
Tertiary qualifications in Geology or Geoscience and experience working in an underground mining environment;A high commitment to safety and willingness to be part of a high performing team;Computer literacy with an intermediate to advanced level in mining software and drilling database packages such as Datamine and AcQquire;Strong analytical skills and attention to detail;A focus on continuous improvement to achieve/exceed industry best practices;Valid 'C' class manual drivers' licence;National Police Clearance obtained within the last 2 months.Apply Today Apply today with an up-to-date resume to express your interest in this role.
