About the Role
The Software Development team at Entrust ICT work on systems and tools that automate and improve the quality of internal and external business workflows. We work on exciting projects that include building new e-commerce systems and websites, automating internal procedures and integrating with APIs from vendors such as Telstra and NBN.
As a Junior Web Developer, you will join our talented development team to build and maintain e-commerce websites and applications. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and work on meaningful projects in a supportive environment.
This role suits a developer with 12 months experience in front-end and server-side technologies such as PHP and JavaScript, along with good communication skills.
We will consider recent graduates.

Duties
- Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, and maintain web & database applications.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and other web technologies
- Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure seamless user experiences.
- Contribute to website performance optimization and SEO best practices.
- Work closely with designers, project managers, and other developers to meet project goals.
- Assist with project and system documentation
- Monitor production systems to ensure smooth operation
About You
You will be required to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Basic understanding of web development technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Basic familiarity with at least one modern JavaScript framework/library (e.g., React, Vue, Angular)
- Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn
- Good documentation skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
The following skills are advantageous to have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or equivalent experience (recent graduates are welcome).
- Experience with backend technologies (e.g.,, PHP).
- Understanding of databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB).
- Knowledge of WordPress, including WordPress web hooks and API
- Basic knowledge of Linux including common shell commands
- Knowledge of accessibility and web performance optimization.
- Familiarity with responsive web design and concepts
