We are expanding our reach and are looking for a motivated and dynamic Pet Food Area Sales Manager to join our team, covering the Victorian state with a small frequency also into Tasmania.
Job Description
As a Sapphire Nutrition Pet Food Area Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and expanding our market presence in the agricultural, independent and specialty pet food sectors. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with retailers, distributors and direct customers within your assigned territory. Your goal is to achieve sales targets, increase brand awareness and ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Sales and Business Development
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand our customer base.
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets.
Conduct regular visits to existing and potential customers to present our product range, address inquiries, and provide product demonstrations.
Customer Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including retailers, distributors, and direct customers.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer needs, resolving issues, and ensuring timely delivery of products.
Conduct training sessions and provide support to customers to enhance product knowledge and sales capabilities.
Market Analysis and Reporting
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and threats.
Prepare and submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis to management.
Participate in trade shows, events, and networking opportunities to promote our products and gather market intelligence.
Product Knowledge and Advocacy
Maintain in-depth knowledge of our product portfolio and the benefits of our pet food products.
Advocate for our brand by effectively communicating the value proposition and unique selling points of our products.
Qualifications
Proven experience in sales, preferably in the pet food industry.
Strong understanding of the pet food industry and various channels in Victoria.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a results-driven approach.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
