Community Outreach Professional
About the Role
As a key representative, you will serve as the primary point of contact for community stakeholders. You will oversee engagement systems, communicate with diverse stakeholders, and assist in developing community outreach strategies.
Responsibilities
* Manage community outreach systems across all activities and project initiatives.
* Engage with various stakeholders (government entities, local residents, and community members).
* Serve as the main point of contact for project-related community and stakeholder inquiries.
* Support the development of community outreach strategies and enhance them when necessary.
* Collaborate closely with engineers/project managers to ensure project delivery aligns with community outreach plans and adheres to legislative and safety requirements.
* Present project updates at community meetings and represent the organization favourably.
* Report community feedback to project teams.
* Prepare publications, newsletters, presentations, and media information.
* Assist with mail drops.
* Provide additional general community outreach support and assistance as required.
Qualifications & Skills
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within civil construction.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
* Proficient in Microsoft Suite and hold a white card.
* Desirable skills include Business Development, Employee Orientation, Public Health, Account Management, Conflict Resolution, Project Management, and Relationship Management.
* Strong initiative, adaptability, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
