This is more than a Network Engineer role. We're looking for someone who's going to take on our ethos and help shape the future of our industry. As the Project Engineer within our Professional Services team, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing complex network infrastructures for our customers.
You'll also live and breathe our 10 commandments* (see More Than an Appendix below).
MORE THAN A ROLE
Our role descriptions aren't the norm. This is what we're looking for:
A commercially savvy and customer-focused engineer with some of your responsibilities include the following:
* Design and delivery
* Seek out and analyse customer requirements to determine the best solution for a their business problems, including discussing directly with customer management
* Conduct user requirement analysis and make recommendations that impact technical solutions
* Undertake tasks requiring analysis of multiple technical alternatives, diagnosis and problem solving, then qualifying the product/service fit and defining support needs
* Maintain in-depth knowledge of products and services to fulfil customer needs for selected accounts
* Define major technical solutions involving product and/or deployment and/or support services for clients or prospective clients enabling them to determine effective IT investment strategies
* Manage client expectations prior to delivery of major solutions, strategies and architectures
DESIRED CERTS AND SKILLS
Don't walk in empty-handed. We want to see these:
* CCNP or CCIE
THE ABSOLUTES-MUSTS
* Sound working knowledge in Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment with robust hands-on technical implementation experience
* Experience working in a project role with demonstrated experience in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting
* Demonstrable Cisco SDWAN design and implementation knowledge
* Strong routing and switching, solid LAN/WAN fundamentals with extensive deployment and advanced troubleshooting experience
* Previous exposure to key vendors primarily Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto
* Ability to review and provide feedback on estimation in budget or schedule
* Demonstrated ability to consult and negotiate effectively with a range of external and internal stakeholders
* Cisco and/or Skype for Business Voice skills are desirable
