About the Role This entry level HR role is part of a recently established function providing general HR support and improving the manager and employee experience navigating people related services. As a Consultant in the People Advisory team, you will provide customer focused HR services to VPS employees of the department. You will have the opportunity to develop as a HR all-rounder, providing advice and guidance on people matters, developing self-service resources and support process improvements. This role is open to candidates from a wide range of backgrounds, including (but not limited to) customer service, call centre experience, general business or administration support, and early career HR professionals looking to broaden their skill set. To be successful in this role you will: * Serve as a primary point of contact for People Services enquiries (general HR). * Be motivated to deliver an excellent customer service experience for employees. * Provide accurate and timely HR advice on People Services matters to a diverse VPS corporate workforce. * Effectively prioritise and manage all People Services enquiries within established SLAs, effectively using HR systems and processes. * Work collaboratively with your team and others within People Services to escalate or close cases. * Establish knowledge of departmental processes and policies to develop and provide HR advice and guidance. * Escalate complex cases to subject matter experts in other areas of the People Strategy & Operations Division as necessary. * Enable employees and managers to solve people related matters through education and self-service. Desirable Qualifications and Experience * Demonstrated experience working in a dynamic customer service function or role * Experience providing advice on policies, procedures, or practices (HR related or other) * Completion, currently studying, or interest in HR or Business Administration qualifications (not mandatory) * Proven ability to effectively engage and build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. * Effective problem-solving capability to resolve or escalate operational service queries. * Strong written and verbal comprehension and capability About the Division The People Strategy and Operations (VPS) Division is responsible for managing HR operations and providing strategic support for both corporate staff and accommodation services. It oversees corporate environments, sustainability initiatives, payroll, recruitment, policy development, workplace relations, and workforce management. Operating under a values-based framework, the division prioritizes meeting client needs and improving policies and processes, to deliver on our corporate responsibilities.
