Community engagement officer - residential community

Bundaberg
Capstone Recruitment
Posted: 13 May
Offer description

* Brand new role – join from day one and help shape something special
* On-site role with work from home flexibility where suitable
* Salary commensurate with experience
* Potential for job-share option or flexibility with days (for the right person and experience)

About the Role

Are you a people person with a passion for bringing communities together? We are looking for an energetic and driven Community Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping the heart of one of Queensland's most exciting coastal communities.

This is a rare and rewarding opportunity to work across two distinct but connected operations, including a residential community and golf club, making a real and lasting impact on the lives of residents, visitors, and the broader Bundaberg coastal community.

What You'll Be Doing

You will be the connector at the heart of the community - welcoming new residents, creating events, and building meaningful relationships across the community and club. This includes supporting the marketing team to showcase community life to prospective purchasers, collaborating with key local stakeholders such as Council, local tourism bodies, and Golf Australia, and driving sponsorship opportunities across both operations. You will also plan and execute social media strategies, assist Golf Club management with events and commercial outcomes, and provide general administration and sales/marketing support — all with the goal of creating a community that people can't stop talking about.

What We're Looking For

* Marketing and/or advertising background with strong social media skills
* Proven event management experience
* Experience in the hospitality or golf industry highly regarded but not essential
* Genuinely personable, energetic, and enthusiastic about meeting and connecting people of all ages and backgrounds, from children to retirees
* Strong communicator across all channels - in person, print, email, and social media
* Ability to juggle multiple priorities and deliver on short and long-term KPIs
* Solid computer skills and creative design skills (Canva, Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite)
* Strong local connections within the Bundaberg and coastal community

Why Join?

Australian owned and operated – join a homegrown developer and operator who is genuinely invested in the communities they create

A truly diverse role – no two days are the same, with the variety of working across a residential estate, a golf club, events, marketing, and community engagement all in one position

Be part of something bigger - this isn't just a job. You'll have a real hand in executing a bold vision and building a community from the ground up — a place where people genuinely love where they live

Make your mark - you'll have the autonomy and scope to bring your own ideas, creativity, and energy to shape something lasting and meaningful for residents, visitors, and the broader community

Permanent, stable and long-term - this is a full-time permanent position offering real job security and the opportunity to grow with the project over the long term
