Director | Legal Recruiter Providing Honest Advice & Finding you the Perfect Fit

Step into an in‑house role with one of the most respected and recognisable brands in its sector – a global industry leader employing over 3,500 people across Australia and the Asia‑Pacific.

You'll enjoy genuine workplace flexibility, including work‑from‑home options and adaptable hours to suit your lifestyle. The package includes a competitive salary, salary‑sacrificing options and convenient onsite parking.

With operations spanning across Australia and multiple international regions, this organisation is known for its scale, stability, and people‑first culture. Their legal team is proactively preparing for the anticipated departure of a highly valued colleague who is moving interstate, creating a rare opportunity for a new lawyer to step into a role that is broad, impactful and genuinely trusted across the business.

This opportunity offers the chance to join a close‑knit, well‑regarded legal function that serves as a true business partner across all areas of the organisation.

The Role

Reporting to a highly supportive General Counsel, you will work alongside a team of several lawyers supported by a Legal Assistant and Paralegal. The team advises on a diverse range of matters, and your work may include:

* Commercial contracts (supply, procurement and general advisory)
* Regulatory matters
* Policy development (including privacy, modern slavery and other frameworks)
* Compliance reporting to internal stakeholders, including to the global parent company
* Property matters
* FIRB compliance
* Insurance matters
* Maintaining and updating a contracts register
* Opportunity to support major projects led by the General Counsel
* Litigation involving the organisation
* Delivering training to operational teams (including sales and marketing) on compliance topics

This is a truly all‑rounder role – perfect for anyone seeking variety in their day‑to‑day work and looking to grow within an in‑house team.

Work from home one day per week and work with a General Counsel who is known for her pragmatic approach to balancing work and life. You will be provided with the flexibility and autonomy as long as outcomes are delivered.

Salary will be aligned with the experience of the successful candidate, with a range of salary‑sacrificing options also available.

Benefits

* A collaborative legal team with excellent training and career development
* No time‑sheets or billable targets
* Exposure to high‑profile external legal partners, including many top‑tier firms
* Opportunities to work with major corporate clients and stakeholders
* A well‑established Flexibility & Inclusion Program designed to ensure everyone feels they belong
* Employee discounts, rewards, and incentive programmes
* Options to purchase additional annual leave
* Newly renovated offices with on‑site parking at the Queensland head office
* Dedicated programmes that support your physical, mental, and financial well‑being – including an Employee Assistance Programme, free health checks, salary continuance insurance, and access to major retailer discounts.
* Paid parental leave for 16 weeks

The Essentials

* You're an admitted lawyer with a current Queensland practising certificate.
* You have 3 to 6+ years PAE.
* You're either coming from an in‑house role with a broad skill set, or from private practice within a corporate/commercial, M&A, or property team.
