Working as part of a friendly and professional team, this role involves working on site at various project sites overseeing the works, tradespeople and contractors. It involves hands on assistance and managing jobs onsite.
Role to include:
* Managing projects from site set up to completion
* Direct supervision of all staff and subcontractors
* Managing staff, subcontractor safety, quality and performance
* Coordination of all site logistics, material delivery and storage, and resource management
* Management of workflow and arranging trades on site including pre-start meetings
* Responding promptly in an acceptable and courteous manner to enquiries and requests
* Keeping good communication with staff, third parties and the client at all times
* Ensuring works are carried out in accordance with set plans and specifications
* Delivering jobs within time, budget and scope
* Detecting and reporting non-compliance NCR and RFIs and managing remedial works
* Work with the Director and staff to achieve goals and targets
* Implementing, monitoring and adhering to quality control, WHS and environmental measures and controls
* Accurate record keeping, preparation of reports and management of legal, statutory and industry requirements to meet relevant ISO and statutory needs
* Training and supervision as required
Experience required
* Carpentry Trade Certificate or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Site Supervisor
* Certificate IV in Building and Construction
* Knowledge of construction building processes, means and methods, including reading plans
* Experience working on residential and commercial works up to a $1.5 Million, Government works up to $2 million
* Certificate IV in Building and Construction
* Competent application of computer software including, MS Office - MS Outlook, Word, Excel.
* Working experience in the following systems highly desirable but not essential for the right candidate:
* BuilderTrend, Outlook and Breadcrumb
* Highly organised and is good at problem solving
* Valid and current driver license
* Diligent, honest and integrity and great team player, always leading by example
* Good communication skills essential
