Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, the Field Service Plant Mechanic will join our Perth Branch on a Full Time Basis. This role involves supporting warranty and maintenance of all Caterpillar products within the Perth and surrounding areas.
For this role, the industries we cover will include but not limited to construction, mining, agriculture, commercial, maritime and oil and gas companies. Versatility to work across all industries are favourable and flexible to work autonomously and in a team environment.
The Perth Branch Department at WesTrac specializes in providing cutting-edge machinery solutions tailored to the evolving needs of the mining and construction industry. Our team is dedicated to delivering innovative, reliable, and efficient Caterpillar equipment and service to enhance operational productivity and safety.
Various rosters on offer:
5 days on, 2 days off hrs each day inclusive of 30 mins break
9 days on, 5 days off – 11.5 hrs each day inclusive of 30 mins break
What You'll Do:
• Identify, troubleshoot and repair problems in Caterpillar equipment using diagnostic tools
• Reassemble and test completed work to ensure the fault has been fixed
• Deliver efficient and consistent service to our customers
• Provide remote work support as needed for extended periods
Skills & Experience:
• Australian recognised mechanical trade certificate
• years post trade experience on CAT engines covering wide industries
• Demonstrated ability working autonomously or in a team environment
• Ability to communicate technical requirements with the customers
• Proficient using CAT diagnostic and servicing tools (ET/SIS)
• Driver's license – LR or above desirable
