Senior Ecologist Job Opportunity
The role of Senior Ecologist is a pivotal position within our Ecology & Biodiversity team, offering an exceptional chance to deliver high-quality ecological services and advice to clients and colleagues alike. Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide expert ecological guidance and support to clients and colleagues, ensuring the delivery of superior service standards.
2. Participate in field-based survey programs to collect comprehensive ecological data, crucial for informing project outcomes and decision-making processes.
3. Apply relevant environmental legislation across diverse sectors, guaranteeing projects adhere to regulatory requirements and best practices.
4. Develop detailed technical reports outlining field survey results and their implications for environmental impact assessment and management.
5. Contribute to the preparation of tenders and proposals, leveraging expertise to drive business growth and success.
6. Mentor junior staff members, fostering knowledge sharing and skill development through collaborative learning experiences.
7. Lead field trips, promoting teamwork and effective communication among team members.
8. Integrate technical work into multidisciplinary assessments and project teams, ensuring cohesive and informed decision-making.
To excel in this role, applicants must possess a relevant tertiary qualification in Science or a related field, coupled with at least 5-6 years' experience in an ecological capacity. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate strong flora and/or fauna identification skills, proficient report writing and computer skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while meeting deadlines.
