Find out more about working with us.About The RoleAs the Finance Officer, Finance Hub Darling Downs South West Region, you will:Deliver financial processing, support, and advice to schools under a fee-for-service agreement, reporting directly to the Financial Advisory Services Manager.Collaborate with Principals and Business Managers across multiple schools within the Hub region to manage financial operations.Oversee day-to-day financial processing in OneSchool, ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.Responsibilities IncludeYou will have responsibility for leading the following activities and undertaking the following key tasks:Perform financial processing in OneSchool and SBS Finance, including accounts payable/receivable, corporate card reconciliations, purchase orders, bank reconciliations, receipting, asset management, journal preparation, and BAS review with GST corrections.Coordinate key financial activities such as end-of-term Systems Evaluation Checklists, budget adjustments for Principal approval, and high-quality monthly financial reporting.Provide financial advice, support budget preparation and reviews, and deliver finance and budget training to Principals and Business Managers in one-on-one or small group settings.Support and guide Administration Officers within the Finance Hub while collaborating with Senior Finance Business Partners on purchasing, procurement, and strategic financial planning for Hub schools.Operate autonomously and collaboratively to prioritise and manage competing tasks, adapt to current systems, and optimise processes, referring complex matters to Senior Finance Managers.Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, purchase orders, employee claims, and vendor data, while maintaining compliance with financial policies and procedures.About YouStrong knowledge and experience with OneSchool is essential.Prior experience as a Business Manager or Administrative Officer with a finance focus is highly desirable.Ability to work independently, set priorities, manage workflows, and meet processing deadlines.Familiarity with Department of Education policies, procedures, and finance requirements.High level communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain financial concepts to Hub school staff.Proficient in technology, particularly in using Microsoft Teams effectively.Interested?
