Town Planning Cadet - full-time maximum period of up to 24 months Mid-Western Regional Council is offering a graduate opportunity to an eligible and suitable candidate completing their Bachelor's Degree in Town Planning. The cadet will be mentored by Council employees in our Statutory Planning team.
* You will be paid a wage while studying your degree, and your university fees will be paid by Council for the duration of the cadetship.
* You are required to pay your course fees.
* You must have no more than 2 years (full-time) remaining on your degree, evidence is required.
* In order to meet the requirements of the Cadetship, successful completion of training and tertiary studies is required.

You
* Currently enrolled in or studying in your penultimate or final year a Bachelor of Planning (or equivalent) at a registered training organisation.
* General computer literacy including basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and email and internet programs
* Demonstrated interpersonal skills, and written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to apply planning theory to real-work situations
* Strong organisational skills and time management skills with ability to manage competing priorities
* Capability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Highly motivated and willingness to learn
The salary range being offered for this full-time position is $2,249.80 - $2,460.80 gross per fortnight plus superannuation which equates to an annual salary of $58,494.80 - $63,980.80 gross plus superannuation (dependent on skills, qualifications and experience).
