What are we looking for?
An exciting and rare opportunity is now available in our Melbourne or Sunshine Offices. We are seeking a Lawyer (1‐5+ PAE) to join our public liability team. The role suits a proactive, passionate and results‐driven Lawyer who specialises in public liability, or has experience in another area within the personal injury space, or a mixed practice, and wishes to specialise in public liability. You will work with one of our most experienced and respected practice groups nationally and will manage your own files. Flexible work is encouraged.
Slater & Gordon has the largest national specialised public‐liability practice in Australia. The Victoria team has grown dramatically over recent years and is considered the pre‐eminent public liability team in the state. We handle all sorts of public liability claims, including significant and often catastrophic injuries from slips and trips on public or private property; unsafe premises such as balconies, stairs or other structural issues; dog or animal attacks; physical assaults; defective products or services; sporting accidents (including recreational and adventure activities); and injuries on private property such as rental or health‐fitness premises (e.g., massage or personal training).
In addition to managing challenging legal matters, you will strengthen existing community relationships, initiate and build new networks, and mentor and guide junior staff. Experience in both plaintiff and defendant roles is highly regarded.
