About the Role

This role offers an excellent opportunity to lead a team in delivering high-quality, person-centered care to residents during non-business hours.

As After-Hours Supervisor, you will provide leadership and oversight to ensure effective and efficient management of a residence, while maintaining a supportive and positive work environment for the care team.

* Resident Care: Ensure delivery of high-quality care to residents, addressing their specific medical, physical, and emotional needs.
* Staff Supervision: Manage and lead a team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, caregivers, and support staff.
* Care Planning: Oversee development and implementation of individual care plans for each resident, considering their unique health requirements and preferences.
* Medication Management: Ensure proper administration and management of medications for residents, adhering to prescribed schedules and protocols.
* Family Communication: Communicate effectively with residents' families or legal guardians, providing updates on their loved one's condition and involving them in care decisions when appropriate.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with expertise in medication administration, wound care, and care planning. A comprehensive knowledge of aged care accreditation standards and experience in managing a team are also essential.


Key Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

* Ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care to residents
* Managing and leading a team of healthcare professionals
* Overseeing the development and implementation of individual care plans
* Ensuring proper administration and management of medications
* Communicating effectively with residents' families or legal guardians

As a leader in this role, you will be responsible for handling emergency situations and critical incidents promptly and effectively.


Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will possess:

* Current AHPRA registration
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in aged care as a registered nurse
* Grade 5, Registered Nurse
* Knowledge of aged care accreditation standards
* Comprehensive knowledge and experience with ANNAC
* Expertise in medication administration and wound care
* Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
* An outstanding proficiency in care planning, goal setting, and evaluation documentation
