The Opportunity
Data and analytics are central to enabling evidence-based decision-making at the University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC). The Insights & Analytics Unit (IAU) plays a key role in delivering strategic initiatives that strengthen UniSC's data, analytics, and information capabilities.
Reporting to the Program Manager, Data Analytics, this role provides hands‐on support across priority data and analytics initiatives. You'll work closely with business and technical stakeholders to define requirements, support testing, and enable successful adoption of analytics products.
You will
As a Business Analyst, you will support the delivery of Data & Analytics roadmap initiatives by:
* Eliciting, analysing and documenting business and data requirements;
* Developing user stories, functional specifications and acceptance criteria;
* Coordinating workshops and stakeholder sessions to clarify needs and resolve issues;
* Supporting system testing, integration testing and UAT for dashboards, reports and analytics solutions;
* Producing test cases, user guides and training materials to support adoption;
* Acting as a liaison between business users and technical teams;
* Maintaining high‐quality documentation aligned to agreed standards; and
* Providing regular progress updates to the Program Manager.
About You
You are a detail‐oriented and collaborative Business Analyst with over four years of experience in data and analytics environments, bringing strong skills in requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, testing, and delivering high‐quality documentation to support data‐driven initiatives.
You will possess
* A relevant degree with 4+ years' experience (or equivalent) in business analysis;
* Experience in data analytics or information management environments (higher education desirable);
* Strong skills in requirements gathering, documentation and testing;
* Confidence working with diverse stakeholders and facilitating workshops;
* Excellent organisational, communication and problem‐solving skills;
* Knowledge of project and program delivery methodologies; and
* Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, MS Project).
