Overview
We are seeking a passionate, experienced & motivated Regional Head in Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants & Construction (CASC) to lead our high-performance sales team and drive business growth by aggressively acquiring new customers and expanding revenue from existing accounts across Australia and New Zealand.
Role can be based in Melbourne or Sydney. This role demands entrepreneurial drive, a strong sales focus and leadership.
Responsibilities
* Lead the CASC team to commercial success in Australia and New Zealand.
* Shape the commercial strategy for the CASC business unit and accelerate growth.
* Develop and execute market and sales strategies, build a strong sales pipeline, lead new business development initiatives and inspire a team to achieve ambitious sales targets.
* Partner with well-known brands; build and maintain relationships with principals, suppliers, key customers and stakeholders to ensure high satisfaction and long-term growth.
* Identify product opportunities, partner with suppliers and develop an attractive product basket for customers.
* Lead by example, provide mentorship and coaching, foster a competitive, results-driven culture.
* Own full P&L and portfolio management accountability for the business unit and drive revenue, profit and working capital targets.
Qualifications
* Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, science, chemistry or related field; post-graduate qualification preferred.
* Sales Experience: Minimum of 12 years in sales leadership within Coatings, Construction, Adhesives and Sealants distribution or related industry, with a proven track record in growing sales and leading teams to exceed targets (preferably in Australia and New Zealand).
* Leadership & People Management: Experienced leader who can develop sales and support teams, inspire, motivate and lead by example.
* Sales & Business Strategy: Experience in developing and implementing sales strategies that drive growth, including new customer acquisition and expanding share of wallet; ability to translate customer strategies into actionable plans.
* Commercial Acumen: Understanding of sales metrics, P&L, forecasts, pipelines and budgets.
* Communication Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and inspire the team.
* Decision Making & Problem Solving: Ability to analyze market trends, identify obstacles and craft creative solutions to drive success.
* Principals and Suppliers Focus: Champion Principals and Suppliers portfolio through technical promotion, product insights and training.
* Customer Focus: Customer-centric mindset with ability to build lasting relationships and proactively address needs.
* Tools: Proficiency in MS Office and CRM; readiness to adopt new systems and ways of working.
