Retail Manager - Manufacturing & Custom Production Environment
Foam Sales - Perth WA Full-Time | $75,000 – $85,000 + Superannuation
Foam Sales is a Western Australian manufacturing and wholesale business specialising in foam, polystyrene (EPS/XPS), CNC-cut products and custom insulation solutions. The retail showroom operates as an integrated division of our production and logistics facility.
We are seeking a highly experienced Retail Manager with demonstrated experience managing retail operations within a structured manufacturing and distribution environment. This position requires technical, operational and logistics capability beyond standard retail store management.
Key Responsibilities
* Direct and control daily retail showroom operations within a manufacturing facility
* Lead, supervise and performance-manage retail sales staff
* Develop and implement revenue strategies and margin controls
* Oversee complex stock control across raw materials, finished goods and custom orders; coordinate directly with CNC cutting, production scheduling and warehouse dispatch teams
* Manage freight coordination including metro, regional and interstate deliveries
* Oversee WHS compliance in a production-integrated retail setting
* Analyse sales data, prepare budgets and operational forecasts
* Negotiate with suppliers and freight providers
Essential Criteria
All Criteria Must Be Met:
* Minimum 3-5 years full-time experience as a Retail Manager in a manufacturing, wholesale or production-integrated environment
* Proven experience supervising and performance managing a minimum of 3 staff
* Demonstrated experience managing inventory linked to custom manufacturing workflows
* Experience coordinating retail sales with production scheduling and warehouse dispatch
* Strong understanding of gross margin management in materials-based businesses
* Operational knowledge of DevFoam and DevCad software used in CNC foam cutting environments
* Demonstrated experience using logistics operating systems and freight booking platforms in Australia
* Working knowledge of Australian freight providers\' metro, regional and interstate capabilities
* Experience managing bulky goods, custom-cut or made-to-order products
* Strong reporting, budgeting and KPI management capability
Highly Regarded
* Diploma or Degree in Business, Retail Management or Supply Chain
* Experience in building materials, construction products, foam or insulation industries
* Experience operating POS integrated with inventory and warehouse systems
Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 per annum plus superannuation, commensurate with experience.
