Job Overview
This role involves providing expert mental health care to parent-infant/child dyads and triads. As a key member of the Parent, Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Team, you will collaborate with clinicians to support families in achieving their goals.
The successful candidate will have strong assessment and treatment skills, as well as experience in trauma-informed care and risk management. A collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills are also essential for this position.
In addition to individual consultations, you will facilitate group programs to promote positive mental health outcomes for parents and children. Your expertise will be valuable in developing safety plans and engaging in multidisciplinary collaboration.
Key responsibilities include:
* Clinical Assessments and Treatments: Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop effective treatment plans for individuals and families.
* Trauma-Informed Care: Apply principles of trauma-informed care to support clients in managing traumatic experiences.
* Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with self-harm, child protection concerns, or domestic violence.
* Group Programs: Design and lead group programs to foster secure attachment, improve mental health outcomes, and enhance family relationships.
* Collaboration and Consultation: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide consultation, evaluation, and planning for service delivery and staff support.
