Respect Victoria (RV) is a Statutory Authority under the Prevention of Family Violence Act 2018. We have a broad focus on the primary prevention of family violence and violence against women in Victoria, and collaboratively work with stakeholders to provide state-wide leadership to create social, institutional, organisational and community change. RV recognises strength in diversity and values an inclusive workplace and are committed to providing flexible and accessible working arrangements for all. We actively encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with a disability, culturally, religiously and linguistically diverse people, young people, older people, women and gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and gender diverse, intersex, queer or asexual people.

The role

The Project Manager will coordinate the implementation of the Ballarat Community Saturation Model (BCSM) initiative, aimed at delivering long term systemic change in the prevention of violence against women and family violence in Ballarat. The Community Saturation Model is a place-based approach, underpinned by international evidence, that aims to “saturate” a geographical area with mutually reinforcing prevention and early intervention activities, facilitated by community mobilisation and local leadership. In the future, other sites across Victoria may adopt the Community Saturation Model approach, and this role would provide project management to those sites.

The Project Manager will ensure that the initiative is implemented successfully in alignment to the Implementation Plan, and is delivered on time and within budget. The role is responsible for the development and coordination of workplans across the cross-functional team, utilising a project management platform to plan, monitor and report on progress. Reporting to the Manager, Prevention Coordination, this role will work with a range of stakeholders across the Strategy, Policy and Impact directorate, RV, the not-for-project sector, government, community groups and other settings focused on preventing violence against women and family violence.

Key Accountabilities

* Project manage the implementation of the BCSM as outlined in the Implementation Plan, utilising project management expertise and knowledge of best practice project management frameworks, tools and methods
* Develop clear workplans in consultation and collaboration with team members, facilitating weekly WIPs to monitor progress, and coordinate cross-functional team work to deliver on the Implementation Plan efficiently and effectively
* Provide the governance groups that oversee the design and implementation of the BCSM with secretariat support and coordinate briefing papers
