About the role
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Advisor to join our HSEQ Team on a full-time basis. The role will initially cover maternity leave, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent position as part of our expanding team. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will support the implementation of HSE systems, promote a strong safety culture, and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation.
You will work across both office and field environments, supporting teams, conducting inspections, and providing clear guidance on safety best practices.

Key Tasks
* Conduct field inspections and audits to support HSE compliance
* Guide and mentor managers and workers in safety practices and documentation
* Support development and implementation of risk assessments and procedures
* Lead and report on incident investigations, recommending improvements
* Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
* Drive continuous improvement and promote HSE awareness across the business
Experience and qualifications
Essential:
* Minimum 3 years' experience in the construction industry or similar
* At least 2 years' experience in a safety-focused role
* Cert IV or higher in Work Health and Safety
* White Card, First Aid Certificate, and valid Driver's Licence
* Solid knowledge of WHS and Environmental regulations
* Strong communication, facilitation, and mentoring skills
* Willingness to travel, including overnight stays if required

* ICAM Investigation Training
* Working with Vulnerable People card
* Mental Health First Aid
