About the role

The Mental Health Acute Inpatient Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) will be a valued member of the Kerferd team. The CNC role is an advanced practice role providing consultation to the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and the bed-based team regarding specialist programs within the mental health acute inpatient setting. The CNC will possess superior consolidated clinical nursing skills upholding best practice nursing care and recovery standards. The CNC collaborates closely with the NUM, clinical nurse educators, senior nurses and the extended multidisciplinary team to focus on integrating care and acute inpatient nursing core skill development, particularly in relation to vulnerable and high risk consumers. The CNC contributes to the delivery of recover-oriented practice, consumer centred care and well as a positive workplace culture and environment.

We are actively seeking candidates who meet the following requirements to apply for this exceptional opportunity;

* Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse Division 1
* Minimum 5 years experience working as a mental health nurse
* Demonstrated advanced level of clinical nursing experitise in mental health
* Well developed leadership skills with the ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and to consult, refer, liaise, and negotiate on complex professional and clinical services issues
