About the opportunity
* Based at Meadow Springs Residential Aged Care home
* Part Time contract until 30/10/26 (with potential to extend) 3 days per week (flexible on days)
* Flexible shifts: 7am - 3:06pm or 8am - 4:06pm
Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader, this role will ensure the condition and appearance of our Residential Aged Care Homes are of the highest standard to provide a pleasant and safe environment for residents, staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain and enhance gardens, lawns, and outdoor areas to a high standard. Perform planting, pruning, weeding, mowing, and general landscaping tasks.
* Ensure all outdoor spaces are clean, safe, and visually appealing.
* Conduct routine inspections to identify and address gardening needs.
* Operate and maintain gardening equipment safely and effectively.
* Collaborate with the facility team to create outdoor spaces that support resident well-being.
* General maintenance and hands-on repairs; painting, plastering, equipment repairs, installing doors, cupboards/shelves
* Respond to maintenance issues, including requests and complaints in a timely and professional manner
* Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
To be successful, you will have
* Experience in maintenance and grounds duties, preferably in an aged care environment
* Relevant Certificate IV qualification and/or significant relevant experience
* Current valid drivers' licence
* Evidence of Australian work rights
* NDIS workers Screen (or willing to obtain)
* Flu Vaccination (Recommended)
* A pre-employment medical assessment may be required for this role
* Availability to participate in a shared on-call roster to ensure continuity of service
