Storeperson – John Hunter Hospital
The Opportunity
We are currently searching for motivated team players to come onboard as a Storeperson at John Hunter Hospital. This role is an integral part of the Patient Support Services and provides effective stock control and management of clinical and non‑clinical products. You will utilise relevant technologies for maintaining stock levels, conduct stocktakes and rotate stock, all with safety front of mind. Responsibilities include receiving goods and managing inventory of clinical and non‑clinical products while using your forklift licence to load and unload items as required. If you are customer‑service focused, an independent worker with sound computer literacy skills, we want to assist you in gaining meaningful employment within our supportive team.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate stock levels and conduct regular stocktakes.
- Receive goods and manage inventory of clinical and non‑clinical products.
- Load and unload store items using forklift (licensed).
- Ensure safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Assist in rotating stock and maintain clear stock records.
- Provide customer service support within the hospital workplace.
Qualifications
- Valid forklift licence.
- Experience in stock control and inventory management.
- Customer‑service focus and independent working ability.
- Proficient computer literacy.
- Australian citizenship, permanent residence or valid work visa.
- Immunisation and tuberculosis (TB) screening in accordance with NSW Health OASV policy.
