Community Rehabilitation offers client-centred, goal driven rehabilitation services to maximise a client's independence, health and well-being following acute illness or injury. We work with interdisciplinary teams to achieve clients' rehabilitation goals and provide home and centre based therapy.
About the Neuropsychology Role
We are looking for a passionate, dynamic and skilled Neuropsychologist to work closely with our community rehabilitation team. The Neuropsychologist will undertake a diverse role providing neuropsychological assessment, treatment and education to community rehabilitation clients and their families. They will also provide education and specialist support for the rehabilitation team.
The Neuropsychologist will be able to work autonomously and as part of the team providing both home and centre based services via various modalities including face to face and telehealth. They will be responsible for providing best practice, evidence-informed client care, achieving operational effectiveness and creating strong partnerships within and outside the organisation.
This position has the opportunity to participate in quality improvement and Research within the community rehab neuropsychology service and broader interdisciplinary team. The successful candidate will receive regular supervision from a Senior Clinical Neuropsychologist and have the opportunity to participate in regular professional development. They will also be supported by a Team Leader and Program Manager.
Key Requirements:
- Current full general registration as a psychologist with the Australian Health Professional Authority
- Appropriate post-graduate qualifications (Masters or Doctoral Degree) in clinical neuropsychology in an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited course
- Current Endorsement in Clinical Neuropsychology with the Australian Health Professional Authority (or working towards endorsement)
- Current drivers licence
- _ Experience working in rehabilitation (_Desirable_)
- _ Evidence of participation in Clinical Research activities (_Desirable_)
Benefits and What to Expect:
The position is part time (0.4EFT) and ongoing. The Neuropsychologist will be based with the Greater Dandenong Community Rehabilitation sites, however travel to work at any of the organisation's sites may be required.
