Inventory Management Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled Inventory Management Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the asset management program, optimizing investment in capital assets and field inventory.
This role will involve field asset validation and reconciliation to the fixed asset register, ensuring consignment inventory accuracy and driving regional initiatives aligned to an Asset Planning Optimisation framework.
The ideal candidate will have experience in people management, strong analytical skills, logistics and asset management, with a background in operations and medical devices.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Oversight of the Kit request process from approval/allocation through to dispatch of kit to hospital, ensuring service KPIs are met.
* Implementing procedures and processes for effective KPI optimisation and movement across our consignment location to increase asset utilisation.
* Implementing kit standardisation and preventative maintenance programs across region.
* Collaborating with AU supply chain leads and process owners to identify and drive functional process improvements associated with asset management and field inventory.
* Conducting regular audits and reviews including asset utilisation data
* Providing effective communication of any key risks and opportunities to management and on-going business partnering to the Business.
* Developing relationships with regional sales leaders in each product division, and with key operations staff such as Master Data, Schedulers, Kit Build and Ops Leads
* Ensuring our assets are compliant to all Quality standards.
* Leading and participating at all scheduled meetings (Regional/National Team).
* Providing support to team colleagues through sharing information, problem solving, contributing innovative ideas and offering constructive opinions - leading to improved individual and team effectiveness.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
* Education: University Degree or similar in Engineering or related field or 7 years of experience in working medical field with loan and consignment inventory, valid driver's license.
* Experience: People management, strong analytical skills, logistics and asset management, SAP background in operations and medical devices.
* Leadership: Lead, influence, relationship, driven, solution-orientated.
* Travel Requirements: up to 25% domestic
