About the role
The HR Advisor role provides professional advice to management at VIRTUS SOLUTIONS PTY LTD on workforce planning, employment arrangements and HR policies. The role also advises on employment conditions, employee relations and related people management practices, and reviews HR frameworks and workforce structures to support effective and compliant people management.
Key Responsibilities:
l Provide professional guidance to management on human resources policies and people management practices, ensuring they are aligned with operational requirements across infrastructure projects.
l Analyse workforce planning and staffing requirements, including resourcing arrangements for employees and subcontractors.
l Recommend employment conditions, role terms and workforce management arrangements to maintain clear, consistent and workable practices across different project environments.
l Support management in managing employee relations matters and on-site people issues, including communication processes, early issue resolution and dispute management.
l Review and refine HR policies, procedures and internal guidelines, including personnel administration processes and documentation standards.
l Advise management on compliance with workplace legislation and internal HR governance requirements, including obligations and risk controls relevant to subcontractor engagement.
l Evaluate the effectiveness of current HR practices and identify improvement opportunities to strengthen organisational capability and workforce stability.
l Prepare workforce metrics and analysis, and present recommendations to management to support informed decisions on staffing, resourcing and workforce risk.
Skills and Qualifications
l Bachelor’s degree or higher
l At least three years of relevant experience covering workforce planning, HR policies, employment conditions and employee relations.
l Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to provide clear advice to management.
l Good analytical skills and judgement, with the ability to handle sensitive matters confidentially.

Pay: $85,000.00 – $105,000.00 per year
