This is your opportunity to contribute to the sustainment of one of Australia's most advanced airborne capabilities.
You will be working on either the P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft (a Boeing 737 variant equipped for surveillance, anti-submarine warfare, and search-and-rescue missions), or the MC-55A Peregrine (Defence's newest platform for airborne intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and electronic warfare capability).
As an Aerospace Engineer - Sustainment, you'll play a key role in ensuring the ongoing airworthiness, reliability, and mission-readiness.
You'll work closely with Defence stakeholders to deliver engineering solutions that support long-term capability outcomes and operational effectiveness.
Relocation allowance may be available, subject to terms and conditions.
What you will be involved in
Leading engineering sustainment activities for either the P-8A Poseidon or the MC-55A Peregrine within the Surveillance and Response System Program Office (SRSPO).
Developing and executing forward sustainment plans, with a focus on airworthiness, reliability, and capability enhancement.
Partnering with Defence stakeholders to align engineering support with operational requirements.
Managing contracts and coordinating engineering and logistics inputs for aircraft upgrades and modernisation.
Supporting Performance Based Management Unit (PBMU) operations and ensuring engineering alignment with broader capability goals.
Responding to emerging sustainment and engineering requirements with agility and initiative.
Providing oversight of Task Request Forms (TRFs) and ensuring timely engineering execution.
What we would like from you
Degree qualified in Aerospace Engineering or a related engineering discipline, with relevant post-graduate experience and/or demonstrated industry experience in aircraft sustainment.
Experience in Defence engineering within a CASG Aircraft Sustainment System Program Office (SPO).
Proven ability to coordinate complex engineering sustainment tasks.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills; experience working with Surveillance and Response Group (SRG) is highly regarded.
Financial acumen to support engineering-driven sustainment decisions.
Must hold an NV1 AGSVA Security Clearance and be an Australian citizen.
