Catering Assistant - Aged Care
Location: GlenorchyShift: 9:30am - 5pm
About the Role
Join a supportive aged‐care team where you'll contribute to high‐quality meal service, resident wellbeing, and a clean, safe kitchen environment. We're looking for someone reliable, respectful, and committed to excellent food safety and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with meal preparation, plating, and serving
* Follow dietary requirements, including allergies, cultural needs & texture‐modified diets
* Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dining areas, and food preparation equipment
* Wash dishes, utensils, and tools using correct cleaning methods
* Support stock rotation and monitor food storage temperatures
* Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and infection control protocols
* Complete daily cleaning schedules & temperature logs
* Communicate respectfully with residents, colleagues, and supervisors

* Knowledge of food safety, hygiene & infection control standards
* Ability to follow dietary instructions in an aged‐care environment
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
