About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and committed individual to join our team in cash and financial systems governance. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing health's banking and payments structure, considering accounting requirements for complex and new requirements.
This involves collaborating with NSW Health entities, Ministry of Health branches, NSW Treasury, Revenue NSW, Department of Customer Service, and other NSW Government entities.
The role requires a deep understanding of the NSW Health system, particularly in relation to financial management, finance systems, accounting, and funding requirements for the Ministry of Health and its controlled entities.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing health's banking and payments structure
* Collaborating with stakeholders to achieve business objectives
* Providing financial management expertise to support business decisions
* Developing and implementing financial reporting processes and cash flow management strategies
* Maintaining accurate and timely financial records
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A degree in finance or a related field
* Full professional membership of a recognized Australian professional accounting body
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
