Senior Social Worker – Specialist Intellectual Disability Health Team

About the role
The Senior Social Worker is an integral part of the Specialist Intellectual Disability Health Team, providing clinical leadership and high-level psychosocial advice to ensure quality health services are provided to clients with intellectual disability in Western NSW, Far West and Murrumbidgee Local Health Districts (WNSWLHD, FWLHD and MLHD).
You will be working within a multidisciplinary team inclusive of medical and nursing delivering a virtual care service to children and adults with an intellectual disability.
The service provides a virtual care service delivering clinical consultation to people with an intellectual disability. In addition, the service provides capacity building activities to mainstream health staff and key stakeholders across WNSWLHD. Whilst the location is negotiable, there will be some travel involved in the role.
You will be supported by a dedicated small team of senior clinicians with opportunities to further develop your skills in intellectual disability. You will be supported with professional development opportunities.
