**About You - It's Your Life Pty Ltd is an NDIS registered service provider, supporting people to live a life of their choosing in their community. **Our team is currently looking for casual, part time and full time Disabilities Services Officers in Queanbeyan-Canberra region, Orange, Dubbo, Forbes and Parkes in NSW Central West.
**Skills & Experiences**
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills + Reliable, honest, positive, pro-active and a can-do attitude + A minimum of 2 years experience in Disability Support Work and/or lived experience + Certificate or Diploma in Disability Support, Community Services or Aged Care (preferred) + Australian Citizen or Resident with valid work rights + Non-restricted Drivers License (preferred)
**If successful,**you will be asked to comply with and submit your Valid First Aid Training Certification, Manual Handling Training Certification, Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) - ACT only, and NDIS Workers Screening Check Results.
**Key Roles**
- To provide support and community services to people with disabilities as a registered provider under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
- To plan, develop and implement support programs for people served.
- To monitor the progress of people served and provide reports when required.
**Tasks and responsibilities**:
- Represent and uphold the Agency's and the company's name, shared values and objectives, in the homes and communities of the participants.
- Assist the participant(s) in their day to day living within their own home, promoting independence in their lives in accordance with the participant's goals.
- Assist the participant(s) with their mobility and other physical disabilities and in the use and care of their aids and equipment.
- Do light cleaning tasks such as, but not limited to, changing beds, tidying rooms, laundry (washing & preparing).
- Support the participant with meal preparation.
- Attend formal and informal staff meetings and training opportunities to enhance understanding of the participant(s) needs and goals.
- Adhere to the policies, procedures and guidelines of the Agency and the company, and perform other duties as may be reasonably required.
- Report significant changes in the participants health and circumstances, to a direct supervisor.
- Assist with medication once training has been undertaken and as documented in the participants support plan.
- Ensure the timely submission of time sheets and vehicle logs with accurate information.
- Work within your abilities and competencies and inform your direct supervisor if you have concerns.

**Salary**: $55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
