Accountant
We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join our successful engineering company based in Perth. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing all aspects of financial operations, including day-to-day accounting functions, financial reporting, and compliance.
The successful applicant will be responsible for managing PAYG tax withholding and Superannuation obligations, preparing and lodging quarterly Business Activity Statements (BAS), completing End of Month financial processes and reporting, and preparing comprehensive Management Accounts.
* Manage financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and budgeting
* Prepare and lodge financial reports, including Balance Sheets, Income Statements, and Cash Flow Statements
* Develop and maintain effective accounting controls and procedures
* Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and financial institutions
Requirements
* Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or related field
* Strong knowledge of Australian taxation requirements, including PAYG and BAS
* Experience with management and financial accounting
* Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
