We have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Associate or Special Counsel to play a key strategic role in the growth and leadership of our Corporate & Commercial practice in Brisbane working with Heather Beckinsale and Aston Joppich.
About the role and team
* Join a large, diverse and National team united by shared values and a clear vision, working across a broad range of Corporate and Commercial, M&A, Property, and Estate/Succession Planning matters.
* Take a lead role in complex corporate transactions, high‑value commercial contracting, private client advisory work, and sophisticated property matters, while also driving practice development and contributing to the mentoring and supervision of junior lawyers.
* Work closely with partners on strategic matters, client relationship management, and business development initiatives. This role offers true collaboration, autonomy, and the opportunity to shape your career path within a supportive and well‑resourced national firm.

About you
* Our ideal candidate will have 4+ years' experience, ideally with strong experience in corporate, commercial, or property law gained within a reputable mid‑tier, top‑tier, or boutique commercial practice.
* You will bring exceptional drafting skills, commercial acuity, sound judgement, and the confidence to manage client relationships independently.
* Your experience will be in one or more of the following areas: commercial contracts, corporate transactions, property matters, estate planning or administration, or broader private client advisory.
* A motivated leader, you will be proactive, collaborative, and motivated to contribute to the team's growth while mentoring junior lawyers and supporting the development of the practice.
