We're looking for an organised and detail‑oriented full‑time Publishing Operator to support the smooth and efficient preparation and dispatch of our publications. In this key operational role, you'll manage documentation, data entry, reporting, and communication across multiple teams to ensure accurate and timely night‑shift production.
Key Responsibilities
* Hours are 4pm to 12am over a 7‑day roster.
* Download, prepare, and distribute reports and manifests (e.g., Running Figures Reports, Truck Manifests, Cart Notes).
* Organise and prepare publication paperwork, including collating bulks for various routes.
* Accurately enter data into publication workbooks and update flatwrap figures.
* Print and assemble workbooks, AWBs, and required paperwork for printers and dock teams.
* Prepare flatwrap job sheets, attend flatwrap meetings, and report on inserts, issues, and cleaning.
* Consolidate and input bulk figures into production reports, ensuring accuracy and timely distribution.
* Send text updates on truck departure times, publication readiness, and press start/finish times.
* Update daily logistics reports with arrival/departure times, machine details, and production status.
* File scanned dock sheets and maintain accurate digital records in Google Drive.
* Enter staff hours into weekly rosters and complete checklist requirements.
Who are you?
* Experience in a supervisory role within logistics, distribution, or print production is desirable.
* Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in data entry and documentation.
* Excellent organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritise in a fast‑paced environment.
* Proficiency with computer systems, including email, portals, and spreadsheets (Excel or similar).
* Clear written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
* Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working overnight shifts.
