The position of a Casual Practice Nurse is available at our busy general practice in Gatton. The role involves providing high-quality patient care as part of a collaborative team.
About the Role
* Work collaboratively with GPs, Practice Manager, administration and allied health staff to deliver exceptional patient care.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, building trust and confidence in our healthcare services.
* Manage wound care, triage, perform ECGs and spirometry, chronic disease management, complete health assessments, workplace medicals, cold chain management, infection control, management of recalls and reminders, and assist with minor surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities
1. To provide primary nursing care to patients, including health assessments, wound management, and disease management.
2. To develop and implement effective plans for managing chronic diseases, such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma.
3. To maintain accurate records of patient interactions, including consultations, treatments, and test results.
4. To communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements
* Diploma or degree in Nursing or related field.
* Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Minimum 1 year experience in primary care setting.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
