The Head of Special Education Services reports to the Principal.
About The Role
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
Lead and coordinate the Special Education and/or Early Childhood Development Program to deliver high-quality advice, targeted teaching, and support for students with disability.Provide expert guidance to the school leadership team, classroom teachers, and staff to plan and implement effective reasonable adjustments and inclusive practices.Coordinate case management and intensive interventions for students requiring substantial or extensive adjustments, including access to specialist services and supports.Develop and oversee school-wide systems, including data collection and monitoring processes (e.g., Nationally Consistent Collection of Data), to track and support students with disability.Build strong partnerships with families, external agencies, and community groups, while managing human, financial, facilities, and curriculum resources to achieve school goals.
