Brain Injury Care and Supports are looking to hire reliable, compassionate and empathetic Support Workers to join our team across the Ipswich and Toowoomba regions. We provide support to Participants who have Acquired Brain Injuries and varying Disabilities, offering in-home, community access, skills development, transport, education and job support, psychosocial and respite services and more, we ensure high-quality, person-centered care to all of our participants.
In this role, you will assist individuals with tasks of daily living, community access to activities and appointments, education and job support, recreational activities, and personal/skills development while promoting choice, inclusion and independence, in line with NDIS Practice Standards.

Brain Injury Care and Supports provide a range of support services to participants with Acquired Brain Injuries (ABI) as well as various types of Disability, we are growing and employing Support Workers who are able to work alongside participants with all disabilities.

About the Role:
* Providing personal care and support with daily living activities such as organizing the home as per participants request, medication supervision, meal preparation
* Assisting participants to access the community and participate in social, recreational, and educational activities as well as attending medical appointments
* Helping participants to develop and maintain independent living skills
* Supporting participants to integrate into the community
* Maintaining accurate records and documentation
* Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and legislative requirements
* Light housework as required in line with NDIS standards along with other ad hoc duties
What we are looking for:
Ideally you will need to have an understanding of Acquired Brain injury, invisible disability and have a background in mental health, physical disability or be willing to learn and attend training as required
Strong spoken communication skills in English- essential
Shifts Available:
Shift days and times vary according to the Participants requirements
Ipswich- day shifts
Toowoomba- day shifts
Requirements:
* Experience in ABI/Mental/Physical Health preferred but not essential as training is offered
* Yellow Card / NDIS Worker Clearance/ Blue card
* Mandatory NDIS training module
* Current First Aid / CPR Certificate
* Australian Driver's License
* Roadworthy and insured reliable vehicle- Km travelled will be reimbursed at 99 cents per km
