Offshore Staff Assist

Our client is actively seeking compassionate individuals for roles known as Youth Officer or Youth Support Worker, dedicated to assisting young people individually or in groups to address social, emotional, and financial challenges within an agency setting. Specialisations: Juvenile Justice Officer Youth Accommodation Support Worker Youth Liaison Officer Key Responsibilities: Assessing the needs of young clients and creating, developing, and implementing educational, training, and support programs. Conducting interviews with clients to evaluate the nature and extent of their difficulties. Monitoring and documenting the progress of clients. Referring clients to other agencies for additional support. Assessing community needs and resources for health, welfare, housing, employment, training, and other essential services. Collaborating with community groups, welfare agencies, government bodies, and private businesses on community issues and raising awareness of community resources and services. Providing support to families, as well as education and care for children and disabled individuals in various settings. Supervising offenders on probation and parole. Assisting young people in resolving social, emotional, and financial problems. Preparing funding proposals and reports for government bodies and other organisations. Qualifications and Experience Required: Skills corresponding to an AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2). Three years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications. In certain cases, additional relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to formal qualifications. English Language Requirements: A minimum IELTS band score of 5.0, with at least 4.5 in each test component, or an equivalent score. "Exempt applicants" may not need to prove English language proficiency. Further information is available on the "English Language Requirements" page. Skill Assessment Requirement: Qualifications and/or experience must be assessed and certified as equivalent to the relevant Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) qualification. The Australian Community Workers Association (ACWA) is the designated skills assessing authority for this role.
