Position Overview
School Officer Branch: Tom Price Senior High School Division: Independent Public School - Pilbara Education Region. Salary: Level 2, $72,562 - $77,741 per annum (pro‑rata). Work Type: Permanent – Part Time, Permanent – Full Time, Fixed Term – Full Time, Fixed Term – Part Time. Location: Tom Price. Closing Date: 2 February (AWST).
The Role
As a School Officer, you will be accountable for the day‑to‑day running of the front office and various communications with staff in relation to the school's operations. You will ideally have strong communication and interpersonal skills to provide a high level of leadership and management and will be accountable to implement and develop operational processes ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and Departmental policies and guidelines with regards to student enrolment, transfers between schools and local intake area and surrounds.
Responsibilities
* Accountable for front office operations and student enrolment processes.
* Develop and maintain operational processes ensuring compliance with legislation.
* Provide high level leadership and management of staff communications.
* Assist the Manager Corporate Services to maintain financial position of the school.
* Handle front desk inquiries and collaborate with staff on daily operations.
Qualifications
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Experience with Schools Information System (SIS) Administration, RM Billing, HRMIS.
* Proficiency in MS Office suite and website experience.
* Focus on teamwork, self‑motivation, initiative, excellence in customer service delivery and administrative support.
* Ability to work under supervision or independently.

* Demonstrated experience in providing effective administrative support with the ability to organise and prioritise tasks effectively.
* Demonstrated experience in financial processes and procedures, including handling debtors, creditors, reconciliations, and preparing financial returns.
* Demonstrated ability in using computers and a range of application software packages, particularly databases, spreadsheets and word processing.
* Demonstrated good verbal and written communication skills and experience in the application of customer service principles and practices.
* Demonstrated good interpersonal skills and ability to work unsupervised and in a team environment.
