As Branch Manager, you’ll take ownership of our Cairns operation—setting the commercial direction, growing revenue and margin, and building trusted relationships with key clients across the region.
Responsibilities
* Full accountability for branch performance—revenue growth, margin, cost control and service delivery.
* Lead, coach and develop a multi‑disciplinary team across sales, operations and administration.
* Grow market share through new business development, tenders and a disciplined key‑account approach.
* Be the face of Higgins in Cairns—strengthening long‑term client, stakeholder and community relationships.
About You
* Proven experience leading and developing a small to mid‑sized team
* Strong consultative (solution) selling in B2B, ideally with longer sales cycles
* Experience in commercial painting, facilities maintenance, construction or a trade‑based services environment (or closely related).
* Comfortable managing multiple jobs/projects at once—planning, prioritising and keeping customers informed.
* Commercial and financial acumen: quoting and tendering, WIP management, contract administration, and confidence reading and actioning P&L results, budgets and targets.
