We're on the lookout for a qualified and motivated Electrician / Electrical Automation Technician to join our Maintenance team at Sara Lee. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where no two days are the same. You'll be part of a close-knit team that keeps our equipment running and our iconic desserts flowing. This is a permanent, long-term opportunity offering strong stability and ongoing investment in our site and people.
The Opportunity
This role will suit an experienced Industrial / Automation Electrician who enjoys fault finding, working with PLC-controlled equipment, and contributing to continuous improvement in a highly automated environment.
* Monday to Friday day shift
* After-hours call-out as required for emergencies
* Central Coast location
About the Role
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical and automation issues for emergency repairs
* Completing preventative and routine maintenance activities
* Reducing downtime through effective fault finding and technical support
* Electrical maintenance and installation across automated and heavy-duty machinery
* PLC and electrical fault finding and troubleshooting
* Reading and interpreting electrical and design schematics
* Supporting installation, testing, commissioning, and system upgrades
* Proactively contributing ideas for continuous improvement
* Ensuring all work complies with AS/NZS 3000 and site safety standards
About You
This role is ideal for someone looking to further build their skills in an automated manufacturing environment. You will bring:
* A current NSW A-Grade Electrical Licence
* Certificate IV qualification
* Experience in a manufacturing or fast-paced troubleshooting environment
* Exposure to automation systems
* PLC fault finding experience (SCADA knowledge highly regarded)
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
* Clear communication skills and the ability to work across teams
