Business Manager Job Overview
This role leads an office team, directing the work of others and managing staff to achieve expected outcomes.
The Business Manager will be responsible for various tasks impacting the whole organization, including administration, finance, and human resources. They will work towards specific objectives with some degree of latitude in determining how they are achieved within standard procedures and organizational policy.
Main Responsibilities:
* Manage the design and production of publications and documents
* Prepare annual budgets and regular financial statements, contributing to financial decision making
* Administer government grants and other income, manage fundraising activities, and direct accounting processes
* Provide administrative support functions for senior management and teaching staff, as well as external service providers
* Implement induction programs for new staff, volunteers, and workers, manage student admissions and registrations, and provide required administrative support for events and projects
Key Skills and Experience:
* Strong leadership skills, including capacity for directing the work of others
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience in human resource and financial management systems
* Sound knowledge of financial management legal requirements and practices
* High-level organizational skills and written and verbal communication skills
