About This Role
* Fixed‐term, full‐time position based in Dandenong.
* Salary band of $100,894 – $114,476 plus superannuation and yearly increases.
* Contributes to the rehabilitation of individuals, promoting greater community safety.
Key Responsibilities
* Effectively manage a complex caseload of the highest priority sex and serious violent prisoners on parole, ensuring compliance with parole obligations and promoting behaviour change. Management of other offenders may also be required at times.
* Apply sound professional judgement in the ongoing identification and assessment of individual risk, with a paramount consideration for community safety, escalating situations where necessary in line with the role and functions of a Community Corrections Officer under the Corrections Act 1986.
* Promote and demonstrate a continuous improvement philosophy and model case management on best practice, engaging in effective quality assurance practices and procedures, working collaboratively with colleagues, contributing to team planning, work‐process improvements and day‐to‐day administration of the local work area.
Qualifications
* Knowledge of best practice case management frameworks and theoretical concepts to reduce risk and maximise individual outcomes.
* Relevant qualification in social work, psychology or a related human services discipline (preferred) or criminal justice, criminology (desirable) with work experience in a related field (preferred).
