About a Critical Communications Network Expert

Main Responsibilities:
* Provide Subject Matter Expert support and maintenance around Motorola P25 for the NSW Public Safety Network (PSN).
* Administer and maintain P25 PSN operation, including tools like UNC, UNC Wizard, ZoneWatch, UEM, Provisioning Manager, CSS, Software Download (SWDL), CPS, and 'Functional block' understanding.
* Assist in technical change management by testing changes that may affect End User Devices.
* Escalate and provide level 3 support as needed.
* Perform engineering support to broader NOCC, L2, and field teams.
* Interact with clients to resolve issues or problems.
* Lead ad-hoc support, training, direction, and guidance for system maintenance.
* Collaborate with NOCC Manager, L1, and Customer Service Manager to resolve customer and network issues.
* Evaluate systemic issues and escalate to management for further support.
* Investigate complex faults, identify root causes, offer workarounds, or implement fixes.
* Support external bids, quotations, and project works as needed.
* Participate in the On Call Roster for after-hours primary response.
About You:
* Expert understanding of protocols, standards, and interfaces for interoperability between core elements or different vendors within a network.
* Advanced knowledge of DC power systems and batteries.
* Strong analysis and fault-finding skills on a systems level.
* Excellent customer service, communication, and presentation skills.
* Sound planning capability, prioritization skills, and personal organization to meet deadlines.
* Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, or equivalent degree.
* Preferably 15+ years in mobile communications systems engineering or related roles.
* Australian Citizenship essential for baseline security clearance.
